RoSEFF - a financing programme from the European Union and the European Union and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development - is closed for new applications.
RoSEFF was one of EBRD's Sustainable Energy Finance Facilities (SEFFs) which, so far, have helped to finance almost 4 billion Euros of investment in energy efficiency and small-scale renewable energy in 24 countries. Three SEFFs in Romania have helped to finance 473 investment projects with a combined value of 189 million Euro.
RoSEFF used commercial financing, EU grants and EU-financed technical consultancy from Tractebel Engineering for 341 investment projects with a combined value of 68 million Euro including credits of 57 million Euro from four of EBRD's partner banks. Typical investments were in sectors such as agriculture, metalworking, plastic production, wood processing, food processing, renewable energy and more.
A RoSEFF database of green technologies helped to bring investors and suppliers together. This approach was very successful, so the database will be expanded and refined for future use. Suppliers of green technologies may submit information about themselves and their products by clicking these links:
